a Little About Me

I’m Akshay Kerlekar, an independent filmmaker and photographer based in Mumbai. My work ranges across fashion projects for designers, portrait photography, brand films, documentaries, corporate films. I’ve also directed the short film Farishte and created multiple documentaries for the Reliance Foundation.

After Farishte, I’ve continued exploring filmmaking and developing my visual approach through different kinds of projects. My focus remains on telling stories through film and photography in a clean, honest, and practical way.
